Lessons
I offer private piano lessons for all ages and levels. I currently hold piano faculty positions at Kingsley Montessori School and Page Music in Boston, MA, and also serve as a staff pianist for Longy School of Music at Bard College. I hold a Doctorate of Musical Arts from Boston University's College of Fine Arts, a Master of Music from New York University's Steinhardt School, and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Advanced Certificate in Performance from the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music
I have been playing the piano for over 20 years and have 10 years of teaching experience, having taught private and group piano, music theory, history, and aural skills to students ranging from beginners to advanced, ages four to seventy-four! I am an active member of the Classical music community, having won prizes in various national and international competitions including the Young Artist's International Competition in New York City, Colorado Yamaha Piano Competition, Pueblo Young Artists Competition, Colorado Springs MTA Sonatina Competition, and several Outstanding Recital awards from the University of Denver.
I would describe my teaching style in terms of the constructivist perspective, striving to integrate technical knowledge and musical skills while relating to each specific student and tailoring my teaching to suit their needs. Above all I want my students to have an enjoyable learning experience that fosters a love of music in them and gives them the tools to play with technical prowess.
